Technical SEO

URL parameters are query strings appended to URLs (e.g., ?sort=price&color=blue) that modify page content, filtering, sorting, or tracking. Parameters can create duplicate content issues when multiple parameter combinations produce similar content. Google Search Console allows parameter configuration.

Why it matters

Uncontrolled parameter URLs can waste crawl budget and create duplicate content problems on large sites.
