Definition

Technical SEO

JavaScript SEO is the practice of ensuring that content loaded or generated by JavaScript is accessible to search engines. Because Google renders JavaScript in a separate pass, dynamically loaded content may not be indexed immediately. Critical content should be in the initial HTML where possible.

Why it matters

Sites relying heavily on JavaScript may have content that search engines cannot see, leading to missing pages in search results.

Example

A single-page app loads product details via JavaScript. If Google's render budget is limited, those products may not be indexed.
